 JBT is a software engineering boutique with deep expertise in India Center Excellence, and strong technology focus. JBT founders bring APQC (American Productivity & Quality Center) award winning expertise in R&D management.
JBT started as an off-shore, software development outsourcing firm in 2004. JBT began its operations with 4 employees and today is an established software engineering company with more than 250 people under its management. Our people bring in deep domain expertise in Telecom, Data Networking, Bio & Chemicals Informatics and Analytics. JBT operates out of 3 state-of-art dedicated facilities with 45000 sq ft floor space.
Since its inception JBT has worked on a range of R&D projects with focus on product engineering. We have executed more than 100 projects, involving 3 to 30 people, across 3 continents, which helped us accumulate deep knowledge of product development, project management, people management and global delivery management.
JBT has leveraged this experience to pioneer ‘Global Delivery Excellence’ model to engage with the customers. It is now available as an enterprise product (GDE - Global Delivery Excellence) for multi-site product and service companies to ensure uniform applications of best practices while providing a collaboration platform. Currently, GDE has more than 450 users.
JBT has also helped multinationals to come to India. An US chemical giant worked with JBT to analyze different locations in India and then to settle in Pune. Another US multinational leveraged JBT’s capabilities to define its hiring and recruitment strategy for its 3000 people Engineering and Procurement center in Hyderabad.
JBT has also pioneered the Build-Operate-Transfer and Build-Transfer-Operate models to engage with MNCs wanting to tap the Indian R&D expertise and setup R&D Captive Centers in India. Once such captive is currently about 180 people strong with 2011 target of 250 people.
